About Carina
Artist • Songwriter • Storyteller
Carina Dahlmann has been writing songs since she was around sixteen, when her first heartbreak sent her searching for a way to put feelings into words.
Music was part of Carina’s world from the beginning. Her father was a singer-songwriter and guitarist, and her mother played classical piano. She never became an instrumentalist herself; instead, she found her way into music through her voice, her melodies, her lyrics and the stories she wanted to tell.
Carina also has deep ties to the United States. Her mother was born in Brooklyn, her grandparents immigrated to America, and Carina spent the first eight years of her childhood growing up in the U.S. That connection has always been part of her story — and helps explain why writing and singing in English, and building part of her creative life in Nashville, feels so natural.

Where the Story Began
At around fifteen, back in Norway, Carina discovered CMT and fell in love with country music — especially the way a song could tell an entire story in just a few minutes. Nashville became a dream long before she ever set foot there.
By eighteen, one of her songs had already made it onto the radio. Life eventually took her in other directions, and Carina went on to build a career as an author, chef and lifestyle personality — always with storytelling at the heart of what she created.
But music never completely let her go.
The Road to Nashville
In November 2025, Carina finally travelled to Nashville for the first time. The city she had imagined since her teenage years felt immediately connected to everything she had always loved about country music: the songwriting, the stories, the musicianship and the community built around songs.
Since then, Nashville has become an important part of both her life and creative journey. She has returned to write, record, build relationships and become more deeply connected to the songwriting community she had dreamed about for so long.
Today, Carina is based in Norway, where she records with Norwegian musicians and producers while continuing to build her creative life and songwriting network in Nashville.
Why Stories Matter
At the heart of everything Carina creates is a belief in the power of music and storytelling to move us, heal us and help us understand ourselves a little better.
Her songs are drawn from lived experience — stories of heartbreak, hope, healing, self-discovery, love and starting over. They often feel like pages from a journal, but the intention is never for them to belong only to her.
The hope is that somewhere inside her story, listeners will recognize part of their own — a memory, a feeling, a place, or a moment that changed them.
Because the songs that stay with us often become more than songs.
They become part of the soundtrack to our lives.
A New Chapter
Now Carina is stepping into a new chapter of her own — officially launching as a country artist and building a creative life between Norway and Nashville.
Her debut single, Cowboy’s Smoke & Mirrors, marks the beginning of that chapter: the first release in a collection of songs drawn from lived experience and told one chapter at a time.
After years of music quietly calling her back, Carina is finally answering it.
And this time, she is releasing the songs — one story, one song and one chapter at a time.
“The hope is that somewhere inside her story, listeners will recognize part of their own.”
